Shrek the Musical

Presented by point2productions, a division of Schaumburg on Stage, performed at Pheasant Run March 22-31. Come join us in a "once upon a time and far, far away" sort of land as we tell the tale of a hulking green ogre Shrek, who lives in an ugly green swamp in happy isolation. Suddenly, a gang of homeless fairy-tale characters raid his sanctuary after being evicted from their own homes by  Lord Farquaad, Shrek agrees to help the fairy-tale creatures get their home back, but when Shrek and Farquaad meet, the Lord strikes a deal of his own: He'll give the fairy-tale characters their homes back, if Shrek rescues Princess Fiona. Shrek obliges, yet finds something appealing-something strange and different about this pretty princess. He likes her. He likes her a lot, but why does she always run off when the sun sets?

Grease Winter 2019

Performed at the Al Larson Prairie Center for the Arts in Schaumburg, our cast portrayed Rydell High's spirited class of '59-gum-chewing, hub-cap-stealing, hotrod-loving boys with leather jackets and their wise-cracking girls in teased curls, bobby sox, and pedal pushers-capture the look and sound of the 1950s in a rollicking musical that salutes the rock 'n' roll era. While hip Danny and wholesome Sandy resolve the problems of their mutual attraction for each other, the gang sings and dances its way through such nostalgic scenes as the pajama party, the prom, the burger palace, and the drive-in movie.
